Facebook is.... well, a waste of time. With all of the new changes I've found myself not logging in as often, today I made an exception, and I wish that I hadn't. I've noticed there are a few main types of posters on Facebook. Lets outline them... (starting with the least annoying.)
*NOTE.*
The word friend is, of course, used very loosely. Here it is just talking about those that are on the friend list on Facebook. I try not to associate with dumb people, sometimes its fun to read the moronic posts... other times they make me wanna punch someone. (I'm still waiting for a, "Punch in the face" button on Facebook instead of poking. Poking doesn't cut it sometimes, y'know?)
1. The people that post everything they're doing. "Eating a sandwich before work!" "Flushed the toilet after I went." things of that nature. Things that aren't really rage inducing, just things that make you wonder, "Okay... and who exactly cares?"
2. People that are really into the Facebook gaming. Farmville, and uh... whatever all of those other games are that people play on Facebook. I don't know of them, because after I found out that you can block all that garbage about people needing wood for their shed I haven't seen a Facebook game since.
3. Those people that are always complaining about their lives. I get wanting to get stuff off your chest, but posting that, "OMG I H8 MY LIFE I'M NO GUD AND SHOULD DIE." and when people ask them about it they post something about how they don't wanna talk about it. **Pro tip** If you don't wanna talk about something... don't mention it.
4. The person that is always trying to show how tough and hardcore they are via Facebook. Talking about how they're tired of people talking about them, and how they're gonna, "mess someone up." (The very same people that don't have the bal-- guts to say anything if approached in real life, because they're all mouth, no teeth. (If your mind went in the gutter while reading the mouth/teeth part... you aren't alone. Oops, I should've stuck with, "All bark, no bite." I guess.)
Disclaimer: Now we're going into the, "People-That-Make-Me-Rage" category, foul language might make an appearance. It should also be noted that I'm not in the slightest bit religious.
5. I understand people are religious. That is fine, I'm glad that people have something/someone that helps them get through their hard life decisions or whatever. I could log into FB to 30 Bible verses and not be annoyed. 10 uplifting stories about how great God is and not have any ill rage induced feelings. I just HATE when people think they're like the poster child or something for their religion. I agree with standing up for what you believe in, but acting like everyone hates you because you're not the typical Christian is BS. I didn't know that the teachings of Wicca instructed you to spew such hate about other religions. DIRECT quote from this person, I don't care who sees this because I'm not a person like those in instance number 4.
"
The chances of people actually trying to convert her on Facebook is very slim. No one is going to message you going, "You need to learn about Jesus, this is the right way to live. etc etc." Or at least it hasn't happened to me. No one is going to single you out because of your religion. Mostly because no one really gives a fuck. I just don't like when people expect to be accepted, but can't accept others. I mean, after having so much mouth diarrhea you might get people commenting about their beliefs, but until you sit there an insult an entire group of people based on their religion you aren't getting any crap for your beliefs. I just wish people would drop the mindset, "OMG I have a religion that isn't as prevalent as Christianity, it is now my duty to bash all of those that don't believe like I do." Isn't that the SAME shit that they don't want happening to them?
Basically spouting off about how you don't believe in God used to be cool and edgy when we were in the 9th grade, grow up.
6. This group also has to do with religion, very similar to the previous. Those people that always relate most of their posts to how great it is to know God and be Christian. (which as i said before, is fine and dandy I'm glad they find happiness that way.) YET they post jokes that are demeaning and down right... horrible about specific groups of people. The post started off like, "
BUT that is one thing I'll never understand, probably. The fact that ~gay people are bad and are going to hell~ always rubbed me the wrong way.
I feel like I rambled a bit and made no sense, but I feel better and not like I'm about to go rage on someone. :)
